All our Tamars

The choir travelled to Plymouth on Friday 11th October and joined with Tamar Valley MVC in a concert at St Luke’s Church, Buckfastleigh the following day. Joint pieces included African Prayer, Song of the Jolly Roger, Rhythm of Life and Morte Criste and the choir performed the Beatles classic ‘When I’m Sixty Four’ as a new piece in their repertoire. The audience showed their appreciation with sustained applause and the whole concert was judged by patrons and guests to have been a great success.

The choir stayed at Jurys Inn, Plymouth city centre, and the trip away included visits to Dartmouth and Buckfast Abbey, with some members opting for a boat cruise along the river Dart. A highly enjoyable weekend and the sun even shone in Dartmouth!

There are further trips away planned for 2014 to Felling (Tyne & Wear) and Macclesfield – why not join us – we usually have places available on the coach.
