Busy December for Choir

December 2012 proved to be a busy time for the choir, starting with an open air concert in Much Wenlock Town Centre on 1st December as part of the ‘Christmas Fayre’ celebrations, an annual and popular event that attracts large numbers of visitors. On December 4th and 11th the choir performed to residents at the Wheatlands Care and Lady Forrester Nursing Homes and on Wednesday 12th December the choir travelled to Shifnal, to perform at the Park House Hotel for the Townswomens Guild. The spokeswoman for the Guild, Mrs Connie Baines, congratulated the choir on an excellent performance.

The year was rounded off with a Christmas Social held at The Priory on December 15th where patrons and guests were treated to a variety of entertainments including Magic from Mel the Magician, Eight in a Bar Barbershop singing and Chris Burson Solo Guitarist, the event compered by David Strefford and catering provided by The Talbot Inn, Much Wenlock. The first time The Priory has been used by the choir as a venue for the Social, the event was judged to be a success and was enjoyed by all
