Ironbridge Festival

The choir opened the entertainment at the Ironbridge Festival last Saturday 22nd September on a memorably sunny day, when the town was packed by festival goers enjoying the occasion. The choirs performance in the Square followed the official opening introduced by Shropshire Radio’s DJ Eric Smith. Songs included the medleys ‘Back to the Sixties’ and ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ and the concert was completed with the choirs signature tune ‘The Working Man’, Other acts included Jackfield Brass Band, Coalbrookdale Primary School and the Telfordaires Barbershop Harmony Chorus. All in all a great day out in Ironbridge with plenty to do and see – if you couldn’t make it this time put it in the diary for next year!
