Serendipity at Much Wenlock

Serendipity is defined as ‘an aptitude for accidentally making a desirable discovery’ and what could be more desirable than paying a visit to Much Wenlock next Saturday (6th June) when Serendipity arrive from the heart of Wales to perform in a joint concert at the Holy Trinity Church. This community choir come from the town of Narbeth in Pembrokeshire, a place steeped in history and mythology dating from the iron age, where a Welsh court was established and Normans made their stronghold. In modern times the towns cultural and arts centre saw Elton John play his first Welsh gig in 1970 and host bands including Deep Purple and Status Quo. Narbeth is twinned with Ludlow and both towns host annual food festivals. Tickets for the concert are £12 and are available from Penny Farthing in The Square, Much Wenlock or on the door.
