Sing in September!

The choir were pleased to pay a return visit to Oakengates United Church on Saturday 14th July to give a concert in aid of the Shoe Box Appeal, raising much needed funds to support the cause. Some 4000 boxes of gifts are sent to children overseas in time for Christmas and for many this is the only gift they receive. The concert was a fitting way to end the choir’s summer season and was followed by a Garden Party held at Harley on 21st July; thanks to all those who contributed in any way to the success of  these events.

It has been pleasing to see the growth of the choir in recent months with the addition of new members – if you enjoy singing and would like to give it a try there is a ‘come and try it’ event at the William Brookes School on Tuesday 11th September. Why not make a note of it in your diary and pop along, singing is enjoyable and a good way to de-stress!
